Playback delay

Post by erdna »

When I hit the playback button (or spacebar) for reviewing the video in the preview window, it takes at least two seconds befor the playback starts, even on a quad PC. Is there a way/setting to make this playback more responsive like standard SW video players do?

Thanks BrianCee, and sorry for not seaching first. Reading the thread I noticed that the delay looks normal because of the project mode where it all has to be grabbed and reconstructed. But the same problem exists in (single) clip mode. So no grabbing of "editlists". Only recompressing and rescaling, what SW player do without any visual delay.
