I have drawn hundreds of straight lines with arrowheads (in PSP X2) in the past.
But now I need the first time to draw a round line (approx half of a full circle).
How do I do this?
I tried a couple of variants and expected a three-step-drawing:
First click to place a start node then click a middle node and finally third click the end node.
Afterwards I should be able to move the middle node and PSP should complete a round arrow line.
But I cannot achieve this.
It happens e.g. always that an area is created and filled with red color.
I don't want to fill an area - just one line.
What exactly do I have to select in the parameter toolbar for "Mode" "Contour" "Connect segments" "Miter Join",....
Thank you
Peter

To turn off the fill, set the materials palette's foreground color to transparent.
Underneath the color on the materials palette there are three buttons. The first lets you select a Color, Gradient, or Pattern as the material type. The second lets you turn on textures for the material. The third, turns the material on or off. (Transparent) So just select the third button and the foreground material should indicate that it's not being used.
Then draw your vector.

Another option, if you already have your vector drawn, is to turn off the color use the vector object properties. Open the vector layer and double click on the vector object. A preferences box will appear with the fill and stroke colors, the line type, and the stroke width. Just deselect the checkbox next to the fill color to turn it off.

Ok, thank you. I could avoid fill now. But the line is still straight and not soft round.LeviFiction wrote:To turn off the fill, set the materials palette's foreground color to transparent.

See attached snapshot. How do I make it round? I could not enter Bezier Mode
Thank you

On the tool options palette there is an "edit" mode right in front of Knife mode. In this mode select the node that you want to curve. Right-click on it and from the context menu go to Node Type -> Symmetric.
You can also go for Assymetric, or if you want it to be freer you can perform Curve Before and Curve After. This allows the node to remain a cusp (allows sharp turns).
However, I find it hard to get a good circle this way. So I cheat.
1) Grab the ellipse tool and drag out a circle the size that you want.
2) Go to the menu bar and select Objects ->Convert to Path
3) Grab the Pen tool and enter Edit mode.
4) Grab one of the nodes and hit the "Delete" key to remove it.
You should now have a half circle. You can also remove a second node and make it a quarter circle if you like. You can also add more nodes to the path to complete your arrow.
