Copy Settings

I recently had to remove some sensor dust spots from three bracketed images I was using for HDR. I used the "Makeover" tool on each image. I understand that in Lightroom, you can copy setting like this from one image to others. That would save a lot of time rather than removing the spots from each individual image.
Does anyone know if this capability exists in PSP? I am running PSP X6.

That's a page from the help documents on capturing edits inside the Organizer to apply to other images.

You can also use PSP's scripting function to create a script you can run on multiple images.

The option you're looking for is "capture editing" and "apply editing" from the manager. The help file tells all if you search for those topics.

1) open Manager and select a thumbnail, right-click and open in either Adjust or Edit window.
2) edit the image and save it. You can save over the original or save as...
3) return to Manage tab and select the saved image. You should see a small icon on the bottom left of the thumbnail, meaning it's been edited.
4) On the manager toolbar click on the Capture Editing icon (third from left in X4, don't know about X6
5) select the thumbnail(s) you want editing applied to, and click on the toolbar icon "Apply Editing. The edit is applied.

When you close PSP the captures are lost, so you have to apply the edits during the same session.

Another option that could be used, though not on thumbnails, is the Quickscript from the History palette.

1) Edit an image in the Edit space.
2) Open the History palette (F3) and select the actions you want to apply to other images from the description bar beside each action. Windows click, Ctrl+click, shift+click work here.
3) Click Save quickscript on the palette button bar.
4) Activate or open the image you want to apply editing to, and click Run Quickscript.

FYI, the quickscript is saved as 'quickscripttemp.pspscript' in Users\yourName\my documents\corel paintshop pro\14.0\scripts-trusted <== version X4. I assume 16.0 for X6.
You can also find it in the Script toolbar.
