Importing PSP X6 files into VideoStudio X6

Post by Patty_BritsMom »

Greetings:

I am new to using Video Studio Pro. I would like to animate my Paint Shop Pro png files or gif files with Video Studio. I figured out how to make the video work and figured out how to change the speed on individual frames. My problem is saving the project. I can only save it as a VSP file and it is too big to upload to Photobucket. :( The whole animation is 15KB.

Can you change the save as file extension to include animated gifs?

Thanks,
Patty

No - an animated gif is NOT a video - surely PSP produces animated gif's - I do not use PSP myself but would expect that it would

A VideoStudio vsp file is not an image anyway - it is a small text file containing instructions to VideoStudio only.

To produce a usable output from VideoStudio - with your project in the timeline click on "Share" at the top = and in the panel which opens choose "Create VIDEO" file - and make a choice from the dozens you will find in there - but you will not find gifs.

Well shoot! I bought the program bundled with Paint Shop Pro X6 thinking that if Corel bundled them, they would work together like the old Jasc Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop. :(

Thank you for explaining how to save in different formats though. Something I will play around with and maybe learn a new trick or two.

I am sure if you ask under the PaintShop pro forum someone there will explain how to output an animated gif from paintshop - which you can then use in VideoStudio
