Go From Trial Version to Paid One

Post by mrs_pugs »

Hi, All

I am using the trial ver of X6.

I have now purchased the product, a boxed version.

My question is:

Do I need to uninstall my trial version? And, if so, am I going to have any issues with the new install messing with My PSP files?

The boxed version I bought is the combo psp/video program one.

Thanks so much for any help.

If you bought the boxed version, wait for the box to arrive first.

Then uninstall and reinstall. It should not mess with your files. IF, however, you created any custom content like custom shapes, textures, patterns, picture tubes, and the like. I would backup your Corel Personal files.

C:\Users\YourUserName\My Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\16.0\

Just to be safe. Also, backing up your database, if you've been using the Photo Manager. That way you can keep your ratings, tags, and smart collections. That can be done from the File menu.

Thanks so much for your fast reply.

The boxed version is due to arrive any day.

I will back everything up as you suggested.

I haven't used the photo manager, so I have no worries there.
