Hopefully, someone from the development team at Corel reads these posts.
I am testing a trial version of VideoStudio x6. When I first tried it, everything worked fine. Next time I tried it, I kept getting stuttering video when I tried to play clips in Edit mode. A search of the web found MANY users having the same problem. I have powerful computer (core i7, 12 Gb RAM, 1 GB video RAM), and it was not operating anywhere near capacity. I spent the best part of two days trying every different setting I could think of to fix this... only to eventually find that it is a bug in VideoStudio itself. The clips have recorded fine, and they play fine when "Project" is selected in the playback window, but they stutter when "Clip" is selected in the project window. If I select an individual clip and choose an option such as "Auto Tone Adjustment" the clip plays fine. If I deselect "Auto tone adjustment" it goes back to stuttering. This is clearly a bug in your software. It's unfortunate because most other parts of the software are pretty good. I'm posting this here in the hope that someone from Corel will fix this bug and post a patch and also so that maybe I'll save others with the same problem from wasting two days of their time on this problem.
Two more comments for Corel while I'm at it...
- I still haven't fiigured out how to make submenus when authoring a DVD - the manual is not at all clear on how to do that
- how about a "Pro" version of the manual with alot more detail on the role and impact of various options, settings etc.

Re: Stutter - can someone from Corel read this?
I am afraid no-one from the Corel development team reads these posts - in fact it is very rare for any one from Corel to read any of the VideoStudio forum posts, and it therefore follows from that that it is not OUR software - we are all just users - same as you
I am sure you will receive some help from other users on the stuttering problem shortly.
on the subject of DVD menus - PLEASE start another topic asking just that question - it gets very confusing trying to answer two or more questions in one topic - we can definitely help you there

How long was between first use and second use?bcd wrote: When I first tried it, everything worked fine. Next time I tried it, I kept getting stuttering video when I tried to play clips in Edit mode.
Did any changes occur to your pc, updates of any kind, other new programmes installed, uninstalled?
Are you using the exact same files?
If it worked ok to start, it does indicate it can at least get it right and that maybe something else is causing the problem.
