Unspecified Error burning a BluRay in VS-6

Post by Overthebars »

Hey all.

Okay, I searched the forums and found that some others have had issues with this "unspecified error" when burning DVD's. I am getting the same error trying to burn a BluRay. The preview looks perfect, but I just keep making expensive coasters. The suggestions with this issue when burning DVD's is to create a "Disc Image" first, but when I try this for a BluRay, that option is grey'd out and not selectable.

Any ideas how to create a BluRay image file so I can access it from the tools menu and choose "Burn from disc image"? Or any other ideas as to what is causing the 'unspecified error" when trying to burn a BluRay?

Thanks!

No idea what is causing the unspecified error crashes... But instead of burning a Blu-Ray image file, you can "burn" a Blu-Ray folder, which is much the same thing and contains the BDMV folder (and all its sub-folders) that is found on an actual Blu-Ray disc. But you need third party software to burn the folder to a disc, such as Nero, Roxio, Ashampoo Burning Studio or the freeware ImgBurn program. Some people say you can just use Windows to burn the BDMV folder to disc, though this has never worked for me.

Thanks Ken!

After trying to burn my movie to BluRay several times without success (it would only burn to a standard DVD successfully), I created a BluRay file and burnt it with IMGBURN software..... PERFECT BLURAY DISC!

Too bad Corel can't get their software bug figured out.... its definitely takes longer with this work around.
