How to Batch Perfectly Clear?

Post by Flyingwriter »

I have been trying to batch edit several JPG files using "perfectly clear" but I keep getting an error. It complains that FileSaveAs is crashing. I spent some time looking at the corel help files and they says something about "FileSaveAs" won't work if it not in the "Scripts-Trusted" folder. However I cannot find it (FileSaveAs) so I can move it over to the Trusted Folder. I CAN find the scripts-trusted folder.

Anybody familiar with batch processing several files using "Perfectly Clear" that can give me a little help?

Thanks - Bruce

How have you been trying to batch process using Perfectly Clear? Did you create a script or record a script?

If so, that script needs to be moved from the Scripts-Restricted folder to the Scripts-Trusted folder.

I think there is already a script file prepared but let me take you through the steps I tried. In the EDIT screen I selected "file" then, "Batch Process."

I selected several photos in the "files to process" window. I then selected "Perfectly Clear" in the script box. So there must be a script already created.

Then selected "copy" and specified a folder for the processed files.

I press "start" and it appears that perfectly clear processes the file. Then I get the following error:

Executing EnableOptimizedScriptUndo
Executing Athentech Imaging_Perfectly Clear
Executing FileSaveAs
------- Command Execution Failed -----------
Command Name: FileSaveAs
Error Text: This script has attempted an operation that is not permitted in a restricted script. This script may be run by moving it to a trusted directory.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 64, in Do
JascApp.Rexec Failure: Restricted script violation - this script must be trusted in order to run.

Script 'Perfectly Clear' has completed with an error.

So, it appears to me that the error is created when the script is trying to do the "FileSaveAs" command. I tried to find the FileSaveAs command so I could move it over to the Trusted folder. Could not find it.

Any suggestions?

A little more information about the problem. I found a script file "Perfectly Clear.PspScript" and moved it from the Scripts-Restricted folder to the Scripts-Trusted folder and tried it again. Now I get a general crash of the entire program.

Very frustrating.

I would also like to know how to get PerfectlyClear to run as a batch.
I like the effect of running PerfectlyClear first, and then running "Local Tone Mapping".
These two effects seem sufficient to enhance most photos in a way that is quite pleasing, yet minimizes work.

The problem is that PerfectlyClear always crashes itself, or crashes the entire program when I try to create a script with it.
Does anyone have a solution?
