Have looked for a way(as in x4, x5)to show image and text in the menu but there is no way to do it.

Paintshop Pro x6 menu icons?
In PSP X5 I have colored icons on each drop down menu(same as X4).......
Have looked for a way(as in x4, x5)to show image and text in the menu but there is no way to do it.

There is no automatic way to do it anymore. Which has been complained about but hasn't changed.
If you want the icons to be visible you need to do it manaully.
View->Customize
When the customize dialog comes up click on each drop-down menu to open it up. Then right-click on each menu item and select "Image and Text" from the list. That will change the item to show the icon as well as the text. It's tedious but works. Then, save the workspace. So if the workspace ever gets corrupted you don't have to do this again until the next version of PSP when past workspaces become worthless.
