1) After a re-boot program takes 3 or 4 minutes before fully opening. It appears on the monitor quickly but the hour glass doesn't go away for 3 or 4 minutes. If program is started for the 2nd (or 3rd, etc) time after a reboot it opens fully in about 15 seconds.
2) Also after quitting the program, it quickly goes off the monitor but task manager shows it still running for 3 or 4 minutes.
In both starting up and quitting it appears that some interaction is going on with windows explorer.

Try setting the program to open in Edit mode and see what the times do then. File > Preferences > General Program Preferences > Default Launch Workspace - Edit
also .... General Program Preferences - Manage and untick all the boxes and see if that makes a difference.
My X5 after boot up First start up is 41 seconds and close and restart is 8 seconds on windows 7
My X6 32 after bootup , First start is 55 sec and restart is 6 seconds
X6 64 first start is 20 seconds and restart is 6 seconds.
