I would have thought you have all the lines you need in the pen tool - draw in any direction you want.

What you have pictured here are BRUSH presets. Nothing to do with PEN Tool. I create a lot of my own Brushes. Apart from the square and circle, never use any of the others. Been using Paintshop for around 7 years.
You can also use your brush selection to erase, not just paint color.

I would like to be able to create new PEN lines. You can edit the preset ones but I'd love to be able to add my own. Like rope!

When I click on the PEN tool, I get the "Draw lines" icon.

jmahall: Can you please attach a screenshot of what you get to see and what you are missing?

Thanks!

Here's what I now have. Hope you can see it. There's shapes there I'll never use, but not some I use all the time.

You mentioned you installed the Creative Collection. Did you also install the Creative Content? There are two .exe files with very similar names and I believe the items you are missing are in the Creative Content file.

You can locate it by logging into your account at Corel.com and on the right-hand side under "Your Products" click on the link for Downloads for Members and Subscribers. This is where you will find the KPT Collection, Scripting Guide and Creative Content files.

Great idea! Perhaps someone is already doing this - can never tell what hidden gems there are in PSP.

I think you are right about Creative Content being missing. But when I go to the "Your Products" page I get this message. "There are no downloads available for you at this time."

Should I not already have this from X5?

What is the full file name?

On my system the file names are:
Corel_CreativeCollection.exe and Corel_CreativeContent.exe
When checking my installation I had to enable the Tool Options under the Palettes menu.
I hope this helps.
