Product: Paint Shop Pro X5 Ultimate purchased a week ago via download from Corel.
Os is windows 7 professional 32-bit
Working fine (loved it) until a couple of days ago when it started to close itself down when I tried to access a specific sub-folder. At the same time, Windows Explorer decided that when I asked it to access that same sub-folder it would stop working and restart itself.
Updated with service pack 3 with no improvement. When I run the windows Event Viewer after either crash, there seems to be a common denominator in the form of PSPPThumbShellExt.dll
I've referred this to Corel this morning as the problem now seems to extend to the parent folder when I try to access. Will post a reply when and if I have something.
SOPHOS and AVG reveal no virus or malware. Windows System File Checker (CFS) run last night with no real issues
