Flip vs Mirror

Post by stinky666 »

Hi everyone. I can remember seeing this a long time ago, and it was a HUGE help.
There was a video that showed you how to create the mirror effect that USED to be the "flip" for PSP. The video I am referring to, it showed how to do it as a script, and then customize it with a shortkey, and finally, it showed you how to add it to the menu (I had it under "Images", just above Flip Horizontally, Flip Vertically).

If anyone can help me in finding this video, or if it's video's, that would be absolutely amazing. Or if you could describe how to do it in a step by step instructional post, that would be brilliant too. Either way I will be extremely delighted and appreciative.

Hopefully someone knows what I am talking about :)

Thanks for reading at the very least.

They're talking about Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical under the Image menu. Those command used to be Flip and Mirror. They also used to perform the function on a global basis (Flipped the layer across the canvas center), now they only perform it on a local basis (They flip the layer across its own local center).

I happen to have a video that does exactly what you're talking about. However, I don't know if it's the same video. I recorded it when X4 came out.

Thanks both for replying, it's really appreciated. photodrawken, that wasn't what I was meaning but thanks anyway..

Levi, you're a god! :D
That is exactly what I mean, and that video of yours is the exact one I have used before and was on about. I only watched the first couple of seconds but instantly remember seeing that black brush line, so will definitely do this tomorrow.

You are my new hero. Thank you so much :D :D

LeviFiction,
Now I see.

Excellent video. Good to know the "Mirror" function can be obtained so easily.

Levi, just to say I have just done this and firstly, your video definitely is the one I was on about, and secondly, it worked wonders still.
