Creating a selection in an object
This is something that I could do very easy with PS, just CTRL + click in the layer and the object get a selection around it. How I can create a selection for an "floating" object? Sometimes I need to remove some pixels around the object I cant find a way to select the contour of the object again...

Ctrl + Shift + B will create a selection from a vector object. Is that what you mean?

Re: Creating a selection in an object
Example:
Create a new image or load one.
Do a square or circle selection
CTRL + C
CTRL + V
For now the new layer are selected with the marquee, so I can expand or contract (Modify) the selection.
Now CTRL + D to deselect
Here is my problem, now I want to contract a little more the new layer (just the floting object), how can I select it again?
The above example is very simple, but sometimes only using the Magic Wand dont work for me, so in PS I just need to hold CTRL and click in the layer to get the content selected.

Re: Creating a selection in an object
With the Magic Wand tool, set the Match Mode to "All Opaque".
Edit:
A while ago, LeviFiction pointed out to me that the following sequence will also do the same:
Select All (Ctrl+A)
Float Selection (Ctrl+F)
Defloat Selection (Ctrl+Shift+F)
I recorded those steps as a script and added an icon for that script to the main toolbar, so I always have a quick "Select Layer Opacity" option handy.
