E-mail address to request SDK
E-mail address to request SDK
Hello,
How does one get access to the SDK for Aftershot Pro plugins? The e-mail address to send a request does not seem to be valid.
plugins@aftershotpro.com
SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<plugins@aftershotpro.com>:
host aftershotpro.com [216.70.89.163]: 550 sorry, no mailbox here by that name.
(#5.7.17)
Kind regards,
Radko

I don’t have ASP but found this info on the Corel Product site that had a link to plugins
http://www.corel.com/corel/product/inde ... 00026#tab5
http://www.aftershotpro.com/plugins/
http://www.aftershotpro.com/plugins/plu ... loper.html
is this what you are looking for?

Well, the links he posted point to the dead e-mail address.
I'll try find out what the current address is.

Re: E-mail address to request SDK
I strongly suspect that the SDK has never been released since Corel bought out the product.
I requested one in July 2012, to the address plugins@aftershotpro.com which is what was on the web site at the time. Was told in August 2012 that Corel had "a backlog of work". It seems they still have that backlog. See https://www.corelyourway.com/CS-EN/foru ... .aspx#6776
Probably all the plugins currently available were created by people that already had the SDK before Corel took it over.

Re: E-mail address to request SDK
It's a feedback forum set up by Corel, but it looks as if it is not accepting new members at the moment.

Full details of "Corel Your Way" and the registration procedures can be found here :-

Re: E-mail address to request SDK
The following shortlink to the CorelYourWay registration works a lot better:
http://bit.ly/corelyourway
It seems there are still a couple of bugs in the latest release, which have been reported over a year ago. Unless we start to see some progress at Corel (monthly updates), CorelYourWay will soon become Corel-on-it's-way-Out here. Until then, let's bias some surveys as a panel member.

Re: E-mail address to request SDK
I just sent an email to the plugins@aftershotpro.com email address, and it seems to have gone through. So maybe it's back up.
Re: E-mail address to request SDK
Finally got a response, asking me to fill out a web form, and supposedly they'll be emailing me a link to download the SDK. So here's hoping...

Re: E-mail address to request SDK
Wow, their right on top of thing's !
Re: E-mail address to request SDK
Well, they sent me an SDK, but not the one I wanted. I wanted an SDK for creating plugins for ASP, but what they sent cannot be used for that.
Sigh.
Sigh.

Re: E-mail address to request SDK
Corel just announced this on facebook:
"The new AfterShot Pro Plugin SDK has just been introduced AfterShot Pro plugin developers! If you're interested in building plug-ins for AfterShot Pro 2, drop us a line. http://www.aftershotpro.com/en/plugins/ ... g-plugins/"

Re: E-mail address to request SDK
Well they did finally send me the SDK. It took them awhile, but I finally got it. Haven't yet had a chance to dig into it.
Why is the SDK not a public download? Why are they trying to keep people from developing plugins for their product? Other companies make their SDKs public, and encourage people to use it. The more people using the SDK, the more people will use the actual product. *sigh*
