Instant Effects in X5 - How to Make User Defined Effects

Post by jpmccormac »

In PSP X5 I'm pretty sure there's a way to make User Defined Instant Effects in the Adjust mode, but I can't find the steps in the Help Files. I'm thinking these are just scripts, but I'm not sure. Thanks.

I don't use Manage or Adjust modes so I can't speak to that but I'm pretty sure I've heard others complain that using Instant Effects in one of those two modes changes your original image with no warning and no undo, so I would be careful. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will jump in with clarification.

If you want to make user defined Instant Effects in Edit mode, I can help you. You would need to create your effect using the Effects menu; save it as a preset and then close and re-open PSP. When you re-open PSP it will show in the User Defined section of Instant Effects.

Hope this helps.
