Slanted Text In X5!!......No Matter What!!!!

Hi Folks!!

I can't for the life of me figure out why any text I type in paint shop pro x5 comes out slanted. The italics button is not on. It happens with any text and any picture new or old or blank. Does not happen on any other program I have. Computer is a new acer laptop and I'm running windows 8 pro.

Any help or ideas greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

The first thing to try is re-setting the Preferences: Hold down the Shift key when starting PSP and answer "OK" to the prompt to restore the default Preferences.

Thanks for the help. It didn't do the trick but did spark an idea which fixed the problem. Again much appreciation for the help!!

Glad you found a solution --- but it would be useful if you could share what your idea was, just in case others have a similar problem.

Reinstalled the fonts. Simple right? Never dawned on me till I saw "reset". Some days are like that I guess!!
