Afternoon all.
Using VS X6 with one video track and one title track. The problem I have is when I choose the 'Create Disk' option, Create ISO the resulting ISO is missing the Title track.
If I 'Create Video File' and select DVD 16x9 it creates the MPEG file fine with Title track.
Have I missed a setting \ tick box somewhere?
I've uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled same missing titles problem.
I've been using Video Studio for years and never experienced anything like this.
Any pointers?

If you create the iso file using the mpeg file and not the .vsp do you still lose the title track ?

Re: Missing Titles when burning to Disk (X5)
Hi Brian, I can play the MPEG in VLC and the title track is there, so I guess its burnt into the file.
I've started a new project and dragged the MPEG file into the Video Track, Created ISO as I need it on disk and its fine.

Hi
So if you open the project showing on the timeline and Share Create Disc-DVD the resultant movie looses the title/text.
Immediately after hitting the burn button the process will start with Convert Title, this is rendering the project to a MPEG2 file, apparently not very successfully.
Its this file that is used to burn the disc or ISO file.
You should be able to play the ISO using VCL Player.
To burn a disc you are best creating the Mpeg2 first. Assuming it is under 4.3Gb it will fit to disc.
Then from a new project, nothing in the timeline Share Create disc – DVD
Then from the burner module Add Media—Add Video files (top left icon)—using the MPEG2 file.
When you hit Burn Button the process will start with Convert Menu, no need for rendering the project, no Convert Title as you added a mpeg2 file.
Ok
You can if you wish ….
Start a new project—nothing in the timeline
Share Create Disc – DVD, opens the burner module
Now Add Media adding the project file the VSP (top left second icon.)
Choose to create ISO
The process will convert the project to Mpeg2 (Convert Title)
But I would be interested if this works ok.

Re: Missing Titles when burning to Disk (X5)
Yes the ISO plays directly in VLC minus the Titles.
I'll drop the *.VPS file directly in a new project timeline and try the Create Disk option and report back shortly.

That is not quite what Trevor said - try to get away from using the .vsp file at all after you have finishing editing
the way many of us work - having found over the years that odd things do happen if you just go straight from the editing timeline to the create disk module is to do it in stages - having completed editing create a video file - play it in any software - check all is well..
When opening the 'Create disc' module if there is anything at all in it's timeline delete it - import your tested mpeg file and create .iso
play the .iso file in VLC - check all is well
Use the .iso to create DVD - as of V6 this function is back in VideoStudio
In theory you should be able to go straight through from editing to disc - and often you can without problems - but many of us prefer the few extra steps just to make sure we get a DVD/ISO without problems

Re: Missing Titles when burning to Disk (X5)
Hi
There are three basic ways to burn a disc.
1 / Recommended to first create a MPEG2 then from an empty timeline Share Create Disc adding the video file to the burner module. There are no further conversions to do and the burning process takes less time.
2 / From an empty timeline Share Create Disc adding the Project File VSP to the burner module.
3 / This is what you did--- with the project open in the timeline, Share Create Disc, this opens the burner module containing a project file.
As Brian mentions --- Some problems can occur using option 3 during the conversion process (Convert Title)
We recommend using option one.
However I would like you to test option 2 for me, just to see if that option is successful. Otherwise use option 1

Ah right, I see what you are both advising now. I'll be honest I've never actually used the burner module in this way.
Currently trying Option 2 at the moment. However it's been stuck on 3% for the past 10 Minutes. I'll give it a little longer and cancel and try the MPEG function from the burner module.
