Access KPT Plugins?
I installed the KPT plug ins from the Corel Content (or whatever it is called) website. They don't show up in X6--64 bit version. I kind of assume that is because they only work in 32? If I am wrong, how can I get them to show up in 64 bit? TIA
ps. They show up in X5. I can't remember which one, but I did like one of them. Ah well, the price of progress!

Re: Access KPT Plugins?
Yeah the KPT Plugins, for now anyway, are only 32-bit. For whatever reason Corel has not included 64-bit ones to match the new product. At least, not yet. I have no heard any suggestions that they will, but one can always hope.

Re: Access KPT Plugins?
That's what I thought. Will leave X5 installed for now. Thanks!

That's why X6 offers you the option of installing both the 32- and 64- bit versions of the program. There are beaucoup plugins out there that are 32-bit only....pdxrjt wrote:Will leave X5 installed for now.

Re: Access KPT Plugins?
Ken, thanks for the reply. I know that, but the only plug ins I use regularly are Topaz and NIK. Not a lot I want to do that can't be done with those plugs ins and the native capacity of PSP. There was one KPT I did use on occasion, but I can't remember which one. As I have X5, didn't see a big urgency to install 32bit X6, but I understand Corel's reasoning.

Re: Access KPT Plugins?
The only plugin I have that does work in X6 64-bit version is Flaming Pear SuperBladePro. Two other very old plugs show on Plugin menu but generate an error message.

Re: Access KPT Plugins?
That's interesting. My 32-bit plug-ins don't even show in the plug-in menu of the 64-bit version of X6.ADonahoo wrote: Two other very old plugs show on Plugin menu but generate an error message.

Re: Access KPT Plugins?
I don't use many plug ins others than the two sets I mentioned above. A few weeks ago I used Wireworm to remove some (duh) wires and downloaded a few of their other plug ins. They don't show up in 64 bit X6. I didn't think they would but I wasn't sure. Nope, they and KPT will be used in X5.

Re: Access KPT Plugins?
Here, I think it was the old "Impressionist" plugin which showed up in the 64-bit version, but failed with an error message.

Re: Access KPT Plugins?
The two that X6 sees here are Fantastic Machines Paint Engine, the .exe file of this is dated 1998! And FM Tile Tools, the whole set it visible in the menu but give and error message that says "unable to load plugin." I tried to take a screenshot but it doesn't get the menu, and I don't want to load Fraps just for this.
