Recently Used Color Palette pop-up X3
I think I have found the weirdest psp problem ever.
Attached is the popup that displays whenever I hover over a color with the dropper.
This "SHOULD NEVER SEE!" is what appears.
How do I get rid of it?
I have used X3 since it was released, and today is the first time this has happened, and it won't go away.
I've closed psp, re-booted the computer, then opened psp. No change.
I reset the workspace to default, which sometimes fixes issues, but again, no luck.
This is so annoying.
Hope you can help me get rid of it!
TIA

Re: Recently Used Color Palette pop-up X3
Is that a default PSPX3 color and does it only pop up for that color? Perhaps you inadvertently discovered an "Easter egg" in X3?

Re: Recently Used Color Palette pop-up X3
If my display and caching is set to display all color
dropper tooltips, it works correctly. But I don't use that, as it gets in my way.
If you Uncheck that, you will get that "SHOULD NEVER SEE" message. This was tried in X, and X6 as well. Same result.
No matter what dialog I'm using, if there's a color box in that dialog and I
right-click on that color box, I get the "SHOULD NEVER SEE" message when I move my cursor over one of the colors in the Recent
Colors pop-up!!!!!
So, it IS an Easter Egg.
And one that has been around for quite a few years, too.
Dubious honor to (probably) be the first to discover it, doncha think?
Any chance I get a finder's fee?
Would still like to get rid of it.

Re: Recently Used Color Palette pop-up X3
I did see it in X6 but it only flashes on my screen for a second and then disappears. I probably wouldn't have noticed it at all had I not been watching for it. I just checked and it looks like that "feature" was added with PSP8. I don't see it in PSP7 or PSP6.
There was a fun Easter Egg in PSP7. If you added a particular picture frame and then used the eraser tool inside the frame, you got this:

"Should never see" doesn't look like an "Easter Egg", but rather some testing code that was never removed....

Wow, cool Easter Egg.
Can't believe no one had noticed the pop-up before me.
Guess it's just something that will continue to irk me.
*sigh*
I'll have to fire up my psp7 and see if I can replicate the Egg.

Re: Recently Used Color Palette pop-up X3
When I ran a script in X3, in the Script Output Palette, the command for Brightness/Contrast was listed as MIKE, so I would get something like this:
My guess is that MIKE is no longer at Corel... he was executed!
