So far, no solutions work. I have edited one video with Pro x5 and now I cannot get anything done at all because of the crashes, UNSPECIFIED ERROR... THIS IS NONSENSE!
And they wondered when when I got spammed on Facebook last week telling me to throw away Photoshop and move to COREL... I posted, "CAN YOU BE SERIOUS?"
Look how many people are having this problem... SOLVE IT to close down and go sell shoes.
I have followed all the suggestions, full reset, downloaded both the SP 1 and SP2 for Corel Pro x5... STILL CRASHES!
Unbelievable!
Maybe a REFUND MIGHT FIX IT!

Re: X5 Unspecified Error
Hello - I am very sorry to hear of your problems but I am afraid they are mis-directed if you think any one from Corel is going to even see them - this is a user to user forum where users try to help other users with problems - although it carries the Corel banner and is hosted by Corel it is not a place to contact Corel.
If you feel you want a refund and are still within 90 days of purchase you should have a support code which will give you free access to Corel support via the Corel.com website - alternatively many people are having a measure of success with their complaints about Corel on their Facebook page at :-
https://www.facebook.com/corelvideostudio?fref=ts
Or yet another solution - why not tell us exactly what is happening and when etc - giving as much information as you can and maybe another user may be able to help you. for instance have you done a full uninstall using the software tool which removes every hidden file - which normal un-install options does not do - then carried out a clean install of VideoStudio
