I would like to see a distressing mode where you can make the photo look like it has been around for a while, these can include
water stains
torn photos
scratched photos/film
folded or cracked lines
gritty/grainy photos

It's already in the program.
You use texture screens and blend modes etc. for those :-)

Follow mouse while zooming and maybe even go to center of screen (Why was it removed in the first place??)

Being able to hold down space bar for "hand" while using selection tool to move around the image more.(touching a corner to get it to auto follow always ends badly.)

For it NOT to hang while loading constantly. (Three versions installed and counting...)

Second the real gradient tool. Third it even.

Plug-in support.

Second docking issue as well.

Layers in tifs!!!! (This is a professional issue I use for my work! I haven't been able to get X6 not to crash and not to hang to see if it's in it yet.)

And better categories for brushes and things

And did I mention I'd like a version that wouldn't hang constantly??

I don't know if it has been raised before but I would like to see it behave like a good Windows app should and go into the background when I want to do other things. It is quite tiresome to invoke the product and then find that the damn banner is stuck across my screen until it has fully loaded, particularly given the length of time it takes to load. I am really not interested in what it is doing during the load process. Alternatively, make it a standard Windows window so that it can at least be physically moved/mimimized.

With the arrival of larger and larger images, I think the size of various tools should also follow.
Here are some tools that have a fairly low maximum compared to the newer projects users might work on:

- Brushes are maxed at 999 pixels, and if you have photos of 5000 pixels or more, that size of brush is not convenient
- Inner Bevels have a maximum width of 32 pixels, which is very limiting if one is working on a larger element (ex: website buttons)
- Tiles has a maximum size of 32 pixels
- and more

Poster printing.

Panorama stitching.

Combine images. (Like in having two images, and just paste one to the left, right, top or bottom of the other.)

'Show all' option under View | toolbars and View | palettes would be great for people with enough screen-space.

Resize dialogue could have presets.

'Yes to all' option in batch progress overwrite prompt would be nice.

Dialogues take focus, when there's no need to. For instance Preferences. Here, if we cannot get it focus-free, at least drop in an Apply button. Having to open dialog, make changes, close it, look at changes, open it again, change again then close again is too much work.

All the lovely icons are gone from the menus. I want them back please.

You can still get the icons back, but have to do this individually.
View>Customize>go to the menu + setting where you want to see the icon>right-click on the entry>tick Image and Text.
The icon will now be added.
Close Customize.

I don't find opening and closing Preferences a 'problem'.
You can open it via the File Menu, or right-click in the Workspace (non-tabbed documents mode) and select General Program Preferences.

Thank you Joelle, for your kind, swift reply.

Good to hear we can get them back. Individually - wow! Not a good idea. I got it to work on context menus.

Yes. And from other places too, such as the layers palette. I know how to open and close it. I'm merely suggesting a solution to not having to open and close it over and over.

I wish for X7 that the people at Corel would use the software themselves instead of seeing it as just another product to sell.
I believe this would solve a lot of bugs in an early stage.

I would like to have the ability to increase the access icons eg "size" so that I can actually see it and make adjustments from a distance without having to peer 18in from the screen. I believe this has cropped up before and Corel has stated it is impossible......

Add support (read and write) for JPNG file format = Jpeg compression + PNG alpha + small header.

JPNG - https://github.com/nicklockwood/JPNG

It is recently widely used in Android and iOS development world to decrease size of apps and additional packages to download.

After reviewing the wishlists posted here I would like to add my own. I’ll be doing this in two posts as I would like to deal with one first. There is a big controversy over 32 and 64 bit programs. For myself the loss of filters/plugins , the loss of using my scanner and maybe other things does not make me excited to upgrade to the 64bit version. The speed is nice, but is little compensation for the losses. I tried the trial version of X6. I can only run the 32bit version or the 64bit version, not both at the same time. The only solution that I can see at the moment is to be able to run both 32bit and 64 bit at the same time. I can do this with X6 64bit and X4. This way I can use my scanner in X4 and a simple copy/cut then paste in X6. Or if I’m in X6 a simple copy/cut and paste in X4 use my plug-ins then copy/paste back to X6. I hope Corel takes note of this and lets both versions run at the same time. It’s not perfect, but unless they can combine 32 and 64 bit in one program, it’s easier than opening 32bit to scan, save close program, then open 64bit, load file to take advantage of the 64bit processing.
