More workspace color options (light Medium dark) ... preferably some with some slight contrast of color.

clipping masks....The ability to set any layer (raster or vector) as a clipping mask for the layer above it... clip an image layer to an object below it so the image is confined to the shape of that object.
I would have thought it would have been added long before now. It was asked for in the X6 wish list. It was asked for in X4 wish list. We still didn't get it.

At the moment the sharing options are only Facebook, Flickr and Google+
1. Add Microsoft SkyDrive
2. As many people - like myself - run their own server e.g. NAS you should have the possibility to connect to a URL which connects to that server for uploading photos.

Re: Larger Font for Dialogues/Windows
Enable all the text to be resized at user discretion to a larger font (up to 150%) for readability. Other Corel products support this option and on higher-resolution screens (1920x1200) the various menus are nearly unreadable unless the monitor is brought within 6" of the user which is not very practical. Changing the font size on the desktop is even an option in Win 7 and 8.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Wishlist for version X7
Wish: Allow the Paint Shop Pro splash screen to go to the background immediately when you activate another open window.
It is very annoying to me that the PSP splash screen stays as the top-most image in the very middle of my screen while PSP X6 starts. I can't move the splash screen to the side; I can't minimize it; nothing. It almost seems rude to me. (Yes, I know I can turn off the splash screen, which I've done, but sometimes, not always, I like to know what PSP X6 is doing as it starts.)
I have dual monitors connected to my laptop most of the time. When I invoke PSP X6 it opens (eventually) in monitor #2, but the splash screen appears immediately in the middle of my primary monitor blocking all the open windows. I can activate those other windows/applications and move them about, but the splash screen is always on top and blocks whatever is behind it. The splash screen stays there until PSP X6 opens (finally) in the other monitor.
When I use my laptop without another monitor attached the splash screen is even worse because I have no other monitor to use. The splash screen consumes a lot of space right in the very middle of my laptop screen. It is impossible to do other work while I wait for PSP X6 to open.
As an example of an application that behaves better consider Microsoft Outlook 2010. When I open Microsoft Outlook 2010 its splash screen appears as it starts, but when I open any other application or activate any open window the Outlook splash screen immediately moves to the background so it does not block the other application.
I'm usually attached to my corporate network and we use several Outlook plug-ins that may take some time to load. Hence, the Outlook splash screen may be displayed for a minute or so. But that delay is not a problem because I can continue to work on any open window; the Outlook splash screen goes to the background.
For some reason PSP takes a LONG TIME to load on my laptop, even longer when I am disconnected from the corporate network (probably because the shared drives are no longer accessible). Two or three minutes can transpire while that splash screen blocks everything. It is most annoying.
That's all. Thanks.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Wishlist for version X7
How's about a totally customizable installation process and/or user settable environment parameters where the location of dBase, cache, temp folders, etc. are easily changeable by the user. Some of this is already available, but more flexibility is needed.
In my specific case, my PC is built on the old Diesel tractor model (small motor to start the big one) - a small, fast solid-state boot drive to launch the system in a flash. The disadvantage is that space is at a premium on my C: drive and it is impossible to install a large, and ever expanding, database on it. So, as a workaround to prevent a system crash, I've had to disable the database entirely by replacing it with a dummy read-only text file. Obviously the 'Organizer' functions of the program no longer work, which is a pity...Had to install a third-party photo organizer (luckily it meshes fairly well with PSP) to handle that part of managing my large photo inventory.
You may also put my vote in for lockable taskbars.
Thanks;
Speedy

Read the post, that was already done. And I totally agree. I find it very annoying also. I want the splash screen running so I know that the app actually started loading but it's so annoying that it "stays on top".

A way to go back and click on an image you've made and in the properties show what font was used. I've tried to type that in my layers, but sometimes forget. It would be nice to be able to go back and see the name of the font used.
Thanks, Jan

Would you mind giving more detail as to how to add the information to the right click menu?hartpaul wrote:Hi Loopync,
You can get that back fronm the Edit mode by doing View > Customise click the Menu Tab, and under Context Menu choose the Layer Palette context menu and arrange that context menu how you like.
I have arranged my context menu the same as in X2, X3 for X4, X5 and next X6. I find it easier to just right click on any layer and go to my choice rather than moving to the bottom of the layers palette and selecting the right tiny button to get my required items. The layers are much larger target areas than the buttons at the bottom.
I have tried dragging from the Layers menu to the menu that pops up but end up with a programme freeze.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Wishlist for version X7
Improved image export function. Those jpg, png and gif optimisers have been the same about ten years. There's no option to change png encoding efficiency and exif data for progressive jpg is not supported (and chroma sub sampling option is bugged). Jpg compression quality and size is better on other programs too. Ideally there should be more formats in that optimiser than just jpg, gif or png. Also many filters are exactly the same that they were in PSP7 and lack multi threading completely.
