Photo Slideshow using VS9

Post by sharanmini »

Hi,
I am creating Photo Slideshow using VS9, when I add MP3 background music and play the project without saving, vs9 crashes on me.

This hapense while editing video(MPEG-II) too.

SlidShow Project size is only 6 xxxx.jpg photos with 3.3 MP each.

Note: I have installed VS8 and CD&DVD PictureShow 3 on this box.

Please help me to fix this.

Thanks in Advance.

If you do a search for MP3 you will find other instances of people having problems with these files. A simple remedy seems to be converting the MP3 to a WAV file

See this post in particular: http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... hlight=mp3

FWIW I've been using exclusively MP3 sounds and music for 18 months now (VS8, VS9, Showbiz and DVD BUilder) and made about 50 clips, never did it fail.

So it has _some_ aspect of user configuration in it, VS8 or 9 never crashed with audio.

It could also be something to do we a particular .mp3 file -- I've seen some .mp3 files work fine, while others cause problems -- perhaps the bitrate or sampling rate or .mp3 encoder or something different that causes the problem :?:

Thank you everyone for your reply.

I converted the .mp3 to .wav file and it works now.

I have been using VS8 with mp3 but never had problem, vs9 is giving problem while using mp3 for PhotoSlid show and video editing.

vs8 and vs9 are on the box.

Anyway it works now, thanks for your help.
