Forgive me please if this is not a new topic.
I downloaded the trial version of PRO X6 and then decided I would like to purchase the Ultimate version. I thought I had to uninstall the Pro version and download the Ultimate version in order to purchase. Now when I click on purchase registration key for the Ultimate I get all the Pro X6 information (trial has expired, etc.) Do I still go ahead and purchase the Ultimate key and register from this point?

Hi DaisyK
Although I know you should be able to activate the trial version my preference would be to uninstall the trial program, then purchase the full version from the Corel web site.
You will be given a couple download links, one for the Program and one for the Ultimate/Extra content files. Both are quite large (1.4Gb ish)
You will also be provided with the activation/serial numbers.
Daisy have you already purchased the Ultimate program.?
If you purchase the Boxed version you will have to uninstall the trial version.

Re: Installing VS X6
Thanks for your reply. I finally figured out that is what I should do and the purchased Ultimate version is downloading now. I did uninstall the trial version first. I would have preferred the boxed version but you know how it is... I want to edit a project NOW!
I am moving from the X3 which was such a disappointment. So glad to see that later versions went back to the earlier type of menu creation. Lots to experiment with.
I have some money (lots) tied up in Digital Juice products I hope to be able to use. I would love to see a tutorial on how to insert their products into a VS project. DJ doesn't include VS in their tutorials. Know where I can find a tutorial on this?

Re: Installing VS X6
Hi
Good luck with the downloads.
First thing to do is save those files including any serial numbers to disc, burn them to a DVD as a backup.
Yep X3 was a big disappointment regarding the authoring section.
X6 is back on track. Project Files VSP created using X3 should open in X6 allowing you to continue the editing.
Digital Juice, sorry cannot comment but sure others on the forum will reply
