help with Corel Draw

I have just joined this group. Just had delivery of my Roland VS-540 VersaCamm yesterday. Really excited to get started in the printing with it. I was told that I need to update my CorelDraw 12 to Corel Draw X6. Can I go straight from 12 to X6 on the upgrade?

I currently used Corel 12 for graphics for my vinyl cutting and Direct to Garment apparel decoration end of the business.

Please help.
