Full Screen Preview Issue

Post by Charlie7 »

Hi Everyone,

I can't seem to click and drag an image with the mouse when using Full Screen Preview under the Edit Tab.
I see the hand icon and the scroll bars when the whole image can't fit on the screen but when I left click it's like I hit the Esc button.
Clicking the scrollbars will work but isn't as convenient. Under the Manage tab it works correctly. I have reset the workspace with no luck.
I use this feature a lot and would like to know if others have this problem.

The problem existed in X5 SP2 and now X5 SP3.

Thank You,

Charlie

That's how it has always worked. Clicking with your cursor is the same as the Escape key. The only keys you can use in that mode are the up and down arrows to scroll large images up/down and the +/- keys to zoom in and out. The mouse wheel also works for zooming in and out.

I just took a look in X4 and I think that the "bug" is that the scroll bar and cursor are visible in that mode. They serve no purpose so the background should remain totally black no matter how how large your image is on the screen.

I use X4, X5 may be different, but Page Up, Page Down, Home and End also work for faster (than arrow keys) jumps around large images in full screen. And you can drag the scroll bars with your mouse.

The purpose of Full Screen Preview is to view your image without any distracting toolbars or scroll bars so I'm pretty sure it's not right that the scroll bar is visible in X4 and X5. I don't know about X3, but there is no scroll bar visible in X2 and earlier.

Hi,

I agree the scroll bars shouldn't be visible in full screen mode because then it's really not full screen.
One of the things I really like about PSP is how the mouse can be used to move and zoom without touching the keyboard
and when your done just hit the X to close at the top right of screen.

In various programs I've used, whenever the mouse pointer icon turns to a hand, that signifies panning capability.
The pan tool (A) changes the pointer to a hand and also the full screen preview under manage but not under edit mode.
I believe this is a bug.

Thanks to everyone for checking into this.
