vidoe studio x4 lost share module

Post by ottersea »

I have been using this great and just now I lost the ability to open a share module. I can see the module but there are no options in the module so I am unable to do any share with it. What happened to the share module and how do I get it back? Also while looking at the I clicked on the capture module and it is not showing any option either. It looks like I have lost these. So now I can neither capture or share. The edit seems to be working but not the others. I have rebooted the computer and that did not help. Any ideas?

Sounds as though you have somehow or other deleted some important parts of the program. A reinstall might be in order, though personally, I would try a Windows System Restore to a time before you lost the 'module' ... When was the last time it worked?

Can you also confirm which 'share' you are talking about Share > Create Video File or Share > Create Disk?

Strange

You can also try

Manually resetting Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 to its Factory Default Setting

These instructions are for X5 but will work for X4 using the 14.0 folder

Yes it is the share module where you click on the share option and the share module come up. I was just using it and somehow it just would not open. When I clicked on the share module it would open but there were no options there to do anything, just a blank share screen. Anyway I clicked on tools/create disc/dvd and that brought it back and seems to be working now. I do not know what happened or how but seems to be working now. I must have hit a wrong key somewhere that knocked out the modules. Strange.
