I have a housekeeping question regarding which files to keep and which to discard.
I am using VideoStudio Pro X6 and have edited a number of AVCHD videos and burned DVD’s and Blu Ray disks with very satisfactory results.
After editing the videos I saved the files to “My Projects” folder on my “C” disk under the main folder “Corel VideoStudio Pro.”
The “Corel VideoStudio Pro” folder also has subfolders “16.0” and “My Projectsimage file” and a couple of minor folders.
The “16.0” folder is 110 GB; “My Projects” folder is 23.3 GB and the “My Projectsimage” folder is 17.6 GB.
My “C” disk has a capacity of 366 GB and I also have an internal disk with a capacity of 1000 GB.
Do I need to save the “16.0” and “My Projectsimage” files or can I delete them and still burn disks in the future?
If I need to save these files can I move the “Corel VideoStudio Pro” folder to the larger disk and, again, still burn disks in the future?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Files to save
By the sounds of folders that size, you have never designated any other drive for the Working Folder in VS but accepted the default in Settings > Preferences > General > Working Folder. You can designate your 1 TB drive for that and create a folder there; or even an external hard drive (as I do most of the time).
You will to save both your project (.vsp) files AND the video files in it if you want to burn new discs of the project at some later stage. But they do not necessarily have to be where they are currently stored. You can move them all to your other drive, but when you open that project later on, you will need to do a re-link to the video clips in the project.
Note that VS also has a SmartPackage function under File. That would allow you to do the same thing in a less messy way.

Re: Files to save
Ken,
Sorry I am so slow in following up on this topic.
I followed your suggestion and designated my 1 TB drive as the working folder and transferred all my videos to that disc.
I was able to open the project .vsp files without having to relink any of them.
I am still puzzled by the large amount of memory used by the Video Studio folder and plan to systematically review the various files to determine which are required and which can be deleted.
I will report my findings on a future post.
Thanks you for your assistance.
