Time lapse doesn't work with stop motion

Re: Time lapse doesn't work with stop motion
.uis uses images not video, VideoStudio just classifies them as video files. What it does is it allows one to import multiple images that are in numeric order as a single .uis file and puts it on the timeline rather than having to import all those image files individually . In doing so, the .uis file is treated as a video file on the timeline, so one can apply a filter on the whole rather than having to copy and paste the same filter on each individual image file. Give it a try, you will find this way is much easier. Been doing this for years with Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7 and when working with Wondertouch Particle Illusion's Alpha TGA image sequence output for particle effects.

A couple of things that are not correct in your post.
You can add all images at once to the timeline and you can also copy the attributes of one image and paste it to all others ( or only the ones you select). None of those operations have to be done individually.
I just did a test with 3900 sequential images using your uis method and the VS "timelapse" method and I found no advantage to either method.
Re: Time lapse doesn't work with stop motion
I tried the standard way not using VS Timelapse/Strobe option and I guess it can be done but required more time using the shift key and right/left clicks for multiple import/clip selection and copy/paste attributes. I like my method better due to workflow familiarity. As I often find with editing, there's more than one way to skin a cat. Thanks for the clarification.
Regarding advantages to using .uis, one gains all the benefits a video file receives.

Hi rwernyei
Thanks for the info, I hadn’t realised you could use Insert Video then choose UIS and select images.
I have used UIS to rip video to individual images but not the other way round. (convert Ntsc to Pal)
Anyway it gives the OP some food for thought.

Thanks, Trevor.
MediaStudio Pro had the File>Convert option that made it easier for import navigation and working with .uis files was documented in the Help and User Manual. Nonetheless, I'm glad .uis was one of the features that got carried over to VideoStudio Pro. Just not much in documentation, I did not see it anywhere in the User Guide.
