About Windows 7 64-bit
I need some advise here, please. I am just about to upgrade to Windows 7, ……from inside of an Imac. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to run my old, but very faithful, Ulead Video Studio Plus 10 in this version of Windows?
Yes, I know that the program is very old (so am I) but it has never let me down and
I can do more inside of it faster than any other program I have tried and believe me, I have tried some of the best but this one is still tops in my book and can still run rings around any of the bigger brand names.
Thanks,
bill in pa

Do you mean an Aplpe iMac?
You are going to install Win7 using Bootcamp?
People have run VS10 on Win7.

Re: About Windows 7 64-bit
Sure, no worries and thank you for your help and response to my problem. I am going to load Windows 7 onto an Imac computer running Mountain Lion OS 10X. Stats on the computer are as follows:
Mountain Lion 10.8.4
21.5 “ SCREEN
Boot Camp Assist. Version 5.0.3 (464)
running 8 Gigabytes of Ram
As mentioned, this will be accomplished using the computers furnished program, Boot Camp to re-partition the hard drive to make room to load the Windows 7 at NTFS format.

Re: About Windows 7 64-bit
Make sure you also install service packs/update patches for that version of VS.

Re: About Windows 7 64-bit--that version of VS.??
Hello Ken,
Been quite a while since I heard from you. You have me between
a rock and a hard place here about "that version of vs"?
Lost, were you speaking of the Windows Pro 7? It comes with the
SP 1 already on. If you are speaking of Video Studio 10 (vs) I did not
know it came with any available service packs/update patches? Can
you direct me to the link? I could not find anything on Corel’s site for it.
Best wishes and thanks also for your time,

Re: About Windows 7 64-bit
No -- I was speaking of Video Studio 10. But can you confirm that you have the full version, and that it does not have the letters SE at the end of the title. If it does, then it cannot be updated anyway. (VS 10 SE was a cut down version often distributed free when bundled with a piece of hardware such as a video capture device).

Re: About Windows 7 64-bit
Ken,
The disk title actually says: Ulead VideoStudio 10 plus.
Does that qualify?

Re: About Windows 7 64-bit
Yes, that's the full program. But I will have to do a bit of a search since Corel not so kindly has hidden updates for programs earlier than version X2. I will get back to you -- or hopefully someone with more ready access to that location will jump in before me!

Hi Trevor,
Thank you for taking the time to respond here. I appreciate the link that you
sent. Since I also recognize the fact that other members on this group may have
tried this themselves, I will post later telling of my exploits!
As you know, Windows 7 is not always so easy to get along with and trying to do
it from inside of a Mac environment ought to be interesting to saying the least.
Thank you again for your attention,
