File or folder not found

Post by mwsing »

I have recently been experiencing the following problem. On completion of editing a video I have created a video file; created a new project with the video file and then proceeded to create DVD. I usually want to create more than 1 and specify, say 4. The first DVD is created correctly and plays fine on my DVD player. I then go back into Video studio (which I have left open at the relevant place) and insert the disk for the second copy. The process runs for some time and then comes up with the message "File or folder not found". I then close the program and, although I have asked it to do so, it has not saved the disc image file.

I have got around this problem by using Movie Factory to create a disc image file, from which I then create the additional copies that I need. However, this is less than ideal!

Any ideas anyone?

Don't try to create the DVD directly. Use "Create Video File" and then use this file to burn the disks using the "Create Disk" function.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

That is exactly what I did. I thought that I had explained that in my post

Hi

After creating the video file
Start a new project – Share create disc – DVD-opens the burner module.
Now add the video file.
When you close the burner module, save the project “Burn my Movie”
All menus should be saved to the project.
You should be able to open the project at any time to access Create Disc.

I always use Video Studio to create a Disc Image.
Play the Iso to check quality (VCL Media Player)
Then use Video Studio to burn the Disc Image. (VS X5 or X6) Tools burn from Disc Image

You say VS does not save the disc image file, where are you looking for the ISO?

Then you should find your .mpg file in My Projects under Corel VideoStudio Pro. This is the default location.

The use of the file means you can create a DVD any time and for any number.

The use of the file means you can create a DVD any time and for any number.
But just having the mpeg-2 also means you have to rebuild the menu each time.

My own preference is to make a DVD Folder, and then use third party software to burn any number of discs. A DVD Folder can also be played in virtually any software DVD player, whereas an ISO File has to be played in something like VLC which is one of the few (only?) players which can play ISOs without first mounting them on a virtual drive.
