I am having issues with images imported.
Although the images imported seem to be at good resolution, when dropped the image into a video layer and then the subsequent reviewing of the image in the video, it appears to have pixelization - especially noticeable when a company logo is the subject - image mixed with text.
I have looked but have not found information defining importing parameters. I am relatively new to this program but have a background as a professional photographer.
Any advise / assistance on how to resolve my issue is very much welcomed.
Thank you.

Re: Image Import - Quality Issues
And welcome to the forums
Sorry for the delay in replying to your post.
First the preview screen does not show the full quality of your clips, the final output creating your video file should be better quality.
A little explanation the project properties default to using 720 px that’s the size of a standard Pal or Ntsc video.
For HD that would be 1920 x 1080, changing the project properties to use 1920 may improve the preview playback, it will not improve the final video.
Go to Settings Project Properties-Edit-AVI type-General tab—User Defined frame size to 1920 x 1080.
When you add an image it will be displayed as 1920 x 1080 irrespective to the size of your image.
If you wish to fill the screen then your image should use 16:9 aspect ratio.
Can you tell us the size and type of the image?
You mention a logo, give details of that?
What are you intending to make, a video for the internet/web page or a video.
If video is it to be a standard dvd or HD, maybe for the internet.
I have to say I create many slide shows to standard DVD with very good results.
However it may be the Logo that’s the issue here.
Maybe use an image editor to combine the logo to one of the images, rather than doing in VS.
Run a couple of tests to render a short project to a video file. You may be best using Frame Based (progressive) rather than Interlacing
