Hi Trevor

try searching for "Intertek ONNDH300BUSB"

I think this is the user manual for it :- http://www.gpx.com/owners_manuals/DH300B-IB.pdf

Thanks Brian

Don’t think I have fully woken this morning.

Bendgee

The DVD Player can be Pal or NTSC.
You are in Canada and will be using NTSC, can you make sure the DVD Player is set to play NTSC version discs, and not Pal.

It may however be automatic but worth looking at the settings/menu.

Sorry for the delay in my correspondence with you all. I tried burning another disc DVD-R ALSO A DVD-RW. Same problem can burn either disc but cannot be viewed anywhere but my computer.
Thinking that maybe the input material could be the problem , I decided to take a dozen pictures or so with entirely new material make a new video and burn it to a DVD-RW disc. After doing all of that the result was the same.
I went to the DISK PROPERTIES IT READS: VIDEO_TS size 290mb, Contains 5 files 0 folders, marked READ ONLY.
Next: I looked up the View Tile ok.it states Type of file: VSP FILE (.VSP), Open with: WINDOWS SHELL COMMON.
I looked at CHANGE to see what choice I had. The options were INTERNET EXPLORER or WINDOWS LIVE MOVIE MAKER.
I went into BROWSE and checked all the listings there is no sign of any VIDEO STUDIO ULTIMATE X5 anywhere?
Could there be something wrong with the installation of this program? it used to work at one time. I have the installation discs If I tried to reinstall the program would I possibly lose some of my videos and photos.
I am at a loss what to do next . I REALLY want this to work Disappointed BENDGEE

Hi Bendgee

I realise there seems to be some confusion but I believe you are indeed burning a DVD successfully.
If that is the case then the problem lies with the DVD Player.

The input material should not be a problem as the project will be converted to Mpeg2 prior to burning the disc, part of the process called Convert Title, shows immediately after hitting the Burn button. If the process completes with the notification of “Successful” then you will have created a DVD.

Are you able to play your DVD Disc on another player maybe a friends DVD Player.?

your reference to a .vsp file in connection with the files on the DVD is very confusing - there should NOT be a .vsp file on the DVD there should only be a Video_TS folder with files of the type that lata listed previously - how did the .vsp file get in your list - it is used ONLY in VideoStudio

I have no idea what you are doing or what DISK PROPERTIES you are looking at. Where are you looking at "View Tile"? Why are you opening the browser and looking for " VIDEO STUDIO ULTIMATE X5 "?

To get a list of the files in the DVD use Windows Explorer and select the DVD burner containing the DVD.
You should now see a folder called Video_TS.
Click on the Video_TS folder and you should get a listing of the files in that folder. It should be similar to what shows in the picture below
The only important column is the Name column. Ignore what is in the other columns since yours will be different. Please post the full names of the files.

Canuck Thanks for your comment. I have 7 files in my VTS _ Folder . The names on 3 are VIDEO _ TS , 2 are VTS_01-0, AND 2 VTS_01_ 1 NEXT 02.
I am just trying to give as much information to see if my problem can be fixed .
Thanks Bendgee

Brian I have watched your Videos, Gripps Videos and You Tube Videos and cannot see any thing that I am doing wrong.
To try and keep it simple I did not use chapters and just ran a video with an introduction and snapshots (should that be a problem)?
On looking back I am not sure what I was referring to in making reference to (.vsp files) I am trying to give as much information as I can in hopes that someone can trigger what is wrong.
On checking "icons" in my Library -- "My Video Folder" I click on properties and under FILE TYPE I find many different types ex.MP4 VIDEO, Quick Time movie , Movie Clip (mpg), MOFF File (moff) this last one seldom works media player cannot open it
as I am going to explain to lada next the DVD that I do burn will not work in 3 of the players that I have tried. When I put them in the players it says LOADING for a long time then states BAD DISC . I have tried several different discs.
Maybe some of the things that I say will help. To bad I wasn't more TECH SAVEY.

Why do you not simply do what I asked - a list of the complete file name with extension as appears in the Name column. I have no idea what the "NEXT 02" you list is supposed to be. There should be no such entry in the list.

I guess that we have to supply the extensions ourselves, but would appreciate your confirmation that the following are correct with the extensions I have added in red:
FIRST: VIDEO_ TS.BUP
SECOND: VIDEO_TS.IFO
THIRD : VIDEO_TS.VOB
FOURTH : VTS_01_0.BUP
FIFTH: VTS_01_0.IFO (or is it .VOB???)
SIXTH: VTS_01_1.VOB
SEVENTH: VTS_01_2.VOB

If you only have seven files, then it strikes me that something is wrong. The Fifth entry would normally read VTS_01_0.IFO followed by another file VTS_01_0.VOB. If either the IFO or the VOB file is missing, this is probably why the whole disc is not playing properly.

Why do you not list the file extensions? Do you have that turned off in your system? What you list is absolutely meaningless.

What Ken shows in his post is what you should have listed a dozen posts ago.

Canuck and Brian SORRY I understood that NAME was most important and the extensions were _TS or_VTS_01_2 ETC.
I am a senior and possibly to old to do this I had a pinnacle program before but it was old. I did some searching and thought that COREL VIDEO STUDIO had a lot of new and interesting things.
I am not tying to be smart and stubborn just trying to get some help if this is to trying maybe I should look elsewhere.
But I THINK that I have discovered something THAT VIDEO_FOLDER I was trying to explain about was actually a file from a disc in my library or my DVD DISC IN THE PLAYER.
I have hunted and searched for my ( VIDEO_VTS[FOLDER) is it possible that I don't have one ? Can either of you tell me exactly where I should look How could it not be there?
Sorry but I am a shut -in and really need something to work on.
