Avoiding libray tumbnail
When VS creates a video file it puts a tumbnail of the created file in the library together with the existing clip tumbnails. Is there a way to avoid this extra (confusing) tumbnail.

Hi erdna
I don’t really understand, surely you need the new video thumbnail to allow you to play the new creation, Just to check the quality
I don’t think there is a way to stop the thumbnail being created in the library.
You can however choose to save the thumbnail to any library page, it will be placed in the currently used library page.

Re: Avoiding libray tumbnail
Thabks Lata for your.reply. My specific problem occurs when I want to do multiple test. Suppose I have 20+ video clips in a project with the associated tumbnail in the library. I want to "play around", and do severea tests with a couple of files out of my 20+. Every time I create a (test)video, I get the tumbnail (which visually looks like an already existing tumbnail) again in my library. I never use VS to test the video quality of a rendered file. I I know where I put the file and use specific players to view my results

Hi erdna
All I can suggest is you create a new library called “tests”
Switch to that prior to rendering and the thumbnail will go there, separate from the originals.
When you delete the test clips from the hard drive, the library will request a re-link, can be a pain, simply delete the library page, then create another for further tests.
