Question about Paste as New Layer, Resizing Image
When I Select All/Copy a photo to Paste as New Layer on top of another photo, it always pastes as a humongous image. I have to scroll & scroll & scroll down to find grab handles, then fiddle & fiddle resizing the image to the same size as the underlying photo. Why does this happen? I take the photos with the same camera. Seems to me the photos ought to be the same size! Is there a setting that I'm overlooking? Thanks.

Re: Question about Paste as New Layer, Resizing Image
I would make sure that both images are the same size.
If you look at the status bar on the bottom-right of the program it'll show the size of the current image in pixels. Or you can go to Image -> Image Information and a dialog will pop up with the size of the image in pixels in there.
If the pixels are the same, then you're right it should not be doing that. If, however, they are different then that would explain what you're seeing.
Keep in mind pixel size is different from print size. You can have two images with the same print size but be made of different sizes of pixels.

Re: Question about Paste as New Layer, Resizing Image
If there's a huge difference you might consider resizing just the one gigantic layer. On the Resize dialogue box, under Advanced settings, just uncheck Resize all layers and only the active layer will be resized.

OK, thanks. I'm away from my PSP computer, but I'll try both methods when I get home. I have a feeling that unclicking Resize All Layers is key.
