x3 to x6 - Templates

Post by thebird563 »

I recently upgraded to x6. My question is, there were some hd project templates that came with x3 that id like to use with x6.
Anyone know how to do this, or import or find the files?
Thanks in advance,
J

Hi thebird563

and welcome to the forums

Are you referring to the “Instant Project Templates”

Video studio 5 and 6 have a different library structure, the Instant Projects are part of the library whereas X3 used a separate popup window.

The files are here:-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X6\EditingStyle\Style\Beginning etc

X3 files should be in a similar position. Moving them may not be as easy.
I no longer have X3 installed so cannot test the process.

I think most of the templates will be included with X6, in addition there are some 115 extra templates available via the Do-More downloads.

If there is a specific template you wish to use the best way would be to open in X3.
Save as VSP.
Then open the VSP in X6 to create a new template using File Export as Template.

Hi Trevor,
Thank you.
Yes this is an instant project template in x3. Unfortunately I did not see it in x6.
Your saving as a vsp is a good tip and I will try it tonight.

Hi

Using X6 the Instant Projects are part of the library.
To the right of the preview screen is a vertical row of icons, second down is instant projects
