I've had ASP for about 3 days an already had to do a fair amount of troubleshooting. I updated to the latest 1.2.07 right away, which might be the problem because my 30 day demo on 1.1 went flawlessly.
First, I had issues with all my Canon 60D .CR2 previews looking like a solid white frame with random purple and pink lines. Files from my EOS M were fine. deleting my cache folder fixed that one.
Second, I had major stability issues which turned out to be OpenCL related, even though I have a high end GPU, it crashes about 4 pictures in with hardware accell enabled.
Third, The RAW Noise feature is greyed out on some of my 60D .CR2 files, but not all.
So, does 1.2.07 hate the 60D, or is there anything I can check? I'd like to at least get access to RAW noise for 60D images.

Re: New user, multiple issues
It appears that the files that have RAW noise greyed out are mRAW, which is an option Canon has for half resolution RAW files. All the regular RAW development sliders (like white balance) are active for the mRAW files, however, unlike for JPG. Maybe that is normal behavior.
Still can't get OPenCL to work even with latest Radeon drivers, so I gave up on that one. It's fast anyway, even with high quality previews enabled.
Any idea why my previews would have corrupted so fast? It's fine since I purged cache

mRAW is not really a raw file but some preprocessed raw, so that is the expected behavior.theWiki wrote:It appears that the files that have RAW noise greyed out are mRAW,
Never use OpenCL on consumer cards. Drivers typically suck....Still can't get OPenCL to work even with latest Radeon drivers, so I gave up on that one.
So in the ATI world, use FirePro card if you want to use OpenCL.
If the previews where generated with 1.1 then this is typical. Nuking the cache between releases is standard procedure ;-(Any idea why my previews would have corrupted so fast? It's fine since I purged cache

Re: New user, multiple issues
My Cache is still corrupting once or twice per week. Getting really annoying to have to delete the cache file every other time I open the program. If it works better without a cache, why even have one?
My Cache in on a SSD, is that an issue?
I do wish it worked on mRAW. my Canon and Adobe software does.

Okay, I just closed and reopened Aftershot Pro 3 times in a row as a test and it corrupted the cache for RAW files again. Not even 5 minutes after my last post and it's corrupted again. If I delete my cache folder it will fix it for 1-2 more uses of the application. This is becoming unusable.
This is what I get:

Re: New user, multiple issues
I guess I'm spamming my own post, but I just had an interesting discovery with this issue. It appears the cache has nothing to do with. I closed and reopened it a couple times and the images are displaying again.
There is nothing wrong with the images themselves as I can open them with 5 other programs without issue.
Any ideas what could be going on?
