Unable to save trimmed clip

Post by Ladislaus »

Total novice trying it out as a hobby.Installed VS Pro x5 in a secondary drive.
Trimmed a mpeg-2 U-tube using multi-trim , tried to save it as per manual
by selecting>file> save trimmed clip. It started to render instead of asking
which drive to save. Pl help resolve. Thanks

Look in Settings > Preferences for the Working Folder. Your new file should be there. If you want it to go into a different folder, you will have to change the Working Folder.

Thank you Ken. 'Working folder' showed as C drive.
So I opened 'Browse New folder' >make new folder> and changed working folder
to read D:/.

To check, clicked File> New project, the new trimmed file was there, but its 'properties'
showed that the project was in drive C.

However when I checked Window explorer> D the files was there.
It is a bit confusing. Any published tutorial on VSprox5 would be helful to understand further. :?

You can find the complete user guide on your computer in the following location :-

C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X5\UserGuide

you may have to modify that slightly if you are not 64 bit or do not have the Ultimate version but that is the basic address

There are many video tutorials around - first open the "Corel Guide" by clicking on the orange button up in the top right corner of the VideoStudio screen - when the guide opens click on the 'Learn' tab along the top and you will have access to a range of video tutorials.

There are also a lot of tutorials here :- http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index. ... ageCode=en

There are also a few hundred on Youtube - just go to youtube and search for "VideoStudio" and browse through the results.
