hartpaul,
That's looking good. There's more than one way to skin this cat; although, to be honest, the "Content Aware" option for PSE's Spot Healing Brush still does it best and easier. I sure hope Corel is working on something like that for PSP....

Another interesting thought. In some ways, that kind of duplicates what wire worm does although this has the advantage of finer control.
Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.

Re: Smart healing or cloning tool?
Hello! I'm having the same problem.... I'm really new to this forum and the computer talk. I'll try to follow instructions if you can help. I woke up one morning to malware all over my desktop. Got rid of that after a few tries....but then I started getting the "Memory Access Violation" error and it happened when I was in PSP x22 and I uninstalled it and reinstalled and got the same error. I also tried psp 9 Jasc, Paint shop 21. I also downloaded a new link from Corel for the psp programs I purchased from them. I have at least 6 different psp programs but when I try one ...am I spreading whatever to my other programs?photodrawken wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2013 11:44 pmBy adding PSP to the exclusion list, you're allowing any and all plugins used by PSP (poorly written or otherwise) to access memory storage locations for executable purposes. The proof is that it's only when the plugin is run that the access violation is triggered. Not good.Kathy_9 wrote:Just as an FYI - I wasn't putting a plug-in (poorly written or otherwise) as an exclusion. I put PSP, a trusted program, as an exclusion.
The very article you listed states several times that it's not good to have executable programs running unencumbered in memory areas allocated for storage. The whole purpose of implementing DEP in Windows is to prevent that behavior.Kathy_9 wrote: If you have a citation that shows this is dangerous I would be interested in reading it.
It's your computer and your choice as to how safely you operate it. When a program or plugin triggers an access violation it's time to think long and hard about whether that program or plugin is worth having. Not if you will ever use the plugin, but if you use it so frequently that it's impossible to accomplish the same effect without it. For me, code that does not comply with best coding practices is not worth having, but the choice is yours....
I just cant use any psp programs. I tried different plug ins. I've also scanned all my plug ins.
I've taken my computer to the shop.........no luck.
I hope and pray this can be fixed. I'm almost 70 and PSP is my all day hobby/habit. Please help.
