I recently bought new computer and installed windows 7. But now when I try to scan and import images from the internet with Paint Shop Pro the images are fouled with lots of squares of black.

Scan and import images from the internet. What steps are you following here. For most images on the internet you can generally Right click and save the image and then this can be loaded into PSP.

Re: black blocks on imported images
I don't have that problem with internet images, but I'm using Firefox. Right click on the image and choose copy image location. Then open the image in PSP, it will open correctly.
