VS6 Ultimate Bonus Pack Install Fails?

Hello all,

After running the trial of VS6, I loved it so I purchased the Ultimate version and read a lot of good things about the Prodad plugins that come with the bonus pack. I removed the trial version and installed the Ultimate version and registered and it's working great.

I can not get the Ultimate Bonus pack to install. I've tried rebooting, changing the "Save" directory for the EXE/Extractor, Run as Administrator, Run for a different version of Windows and so on and it just fails as soon as it starts. It's starts to save the files but then it crashes.

Any ideas or others experiencing this issue? I tried re-downloading via the link in the email I was provided when I purchased the software and still get the issue. Not sure what else to try.

and welcome to the forums

This software should be downloaded directly from Corel using the download link provided after purchase.
The file is quite large called VSX6_Ultimate_Bonus.exe at 1.477.198 kb

Running this file should extract the contents and save to here:-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X6 Setup Files
The folder contains a Plugin folder containing the software.

Do you see these folders?
Re-name the folder "Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X6 Setup Files" to "Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X6 Setup Files Copy"
Run the VSX6_Ultimate_Bonus.exe again a new set should be created.

Some problems in installing Video Studio were overcome by creating a new/temp user account, after installing the account can be removed?

Thanks, I ended up getting it installed before my post was approved. I basically did what you suggested, deleted the files, downloaded the file again etc. and I'm in business.

Hello,
I install ALL the DO MORE of CVSX6.
But 2 still say in the COREL GUIDE that "DOWNLOAD"
But i already download them and install them!
These 2 are:
BONUS Content------>Thats in TEMPLATES
and
NewBlueTitlerEX----->Thats in TOOLS


Is there any idea how can i solve the problem, in order to see that ALL have been installed successfully?

Hi

Do not confuse the Ultimate Bonus files with the Do-More downloads

The Do-More downloads install the Bonus Content to this location, this is not the ultimate pack.
C:\Users\Trevor\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\Bonus Content
Does this folder exist on your pc.

The NewBlue Titles will show from the FX library, to the bottom of the list. After expanding the “all” panel

1.The C:\Users\Userr\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\Bonus Content-------------------OK exist in my case.

2.iT SHOW only one NAMED AS "NewBlue TitlerEX".
Is it OK?


3.Where can i get the EXTRA "Ultimate Bonus files" of CVSX6?


4.Why, since the above 1,2 are installed to my pc, the COREL GUIDE shows the as NOT INSTALLED? (It says DOWNLOAD instead of INSTALLED. And if i try to download, nothing happens!). What's wrong with Corel Guide?

First there does appear to be an issue with the Do-More downloads, they should show as installed on the Do-More panel. I have passed this info on to Corel.

Yes you appear to have both files/packs installed. However do you always see a request to install when closing the program?

Corel Video Studio Ultimate, if you purchased this version you should have received either a separate disc or a download link for the extra software. Boris, ProDad etc
The file is quite large at 1.4Gb

Did you buy the disc/boxed version or the download?

View your Corel account for details of your purchase, if the download version there should be a link.
You should have received details via e-mail. Check your Junk folder.

Do other people have the same problem, that's why you inform Corel?

We have not had a problem with these downloads till recently, yourself and another poster is having similar problems with the Do-More downloads.
Corel are aware of a problem as others have contacted Corel Support.

You seem to have installed both, yes the download icon should indicate as installed, that seems to be one issue, I would simply ignore that.
I see the Titler being available even though I have installed it.

Are you having any other issues with the Do-More section?
