Yes Alexander, but the problem seems to be that we all want Corel to choose us as their target customer - and that just ain't possible!

Quite honestly, this is my biggest fear as ASP tries to "catch up" to Light Room.

Being able to turn off catalogs and work solely with XMP sidecar files means I can store files on a portable drive and use either my desktop (home) or laptop (away) to work on photos.

Forcing me/us to use catalogs like LR would send me looking for a new solution.

Folders and sidecars --- don't ever lose that option.
I am using Capture for its IQ on near burnouts (until ASP fixed ?????) but having to use catalogues is not good.

- improved image quality (look at Capture One)
- add functionality of important plugins (for me grad filter and zPerspector)
- improvment of repair functions
- improve the katalog function (catalogs are unusable in my opinion)
- syncronisation between catalog and file system, e.g. delete files on the file system should be removed from the catalog
- user defined UI (mix organisation)
- image groups function, e.g. for panorama sequences, inclusive autodetection
- file list of in delete dialog
- bug fixes (most important selection erros that could result that you delete images that you don't want)
- more options to create a mask
- ...

Let's concentrate on the things Corel can control. Plugins are (per definitie outwith Corel's control. Better liaison with the plugin developers - and probably more contact - is. Let's hope the other wishes come true!

Hi,

control is the wrong term in my opinion. They can make it interesting for the plugin developers:

- delete bugs
- open ears for the request/wishes

Just my two cents

Regards

My wishlist:
  • possibility to use Nik Software as plugin
  • auto CA-removal (or at least the possibility to make custom settings for a specific lens)
  • auto vignetting removal (or at least the possibility to make custom settings for a specific lens)
  • auto noise ninja (or at least the possibility to make custom settings for a specific camera+ISO)
  • auto white balance
  • include asGPS (or equivalent) in the basic software
  • possiblity to link a gps-file to a folder and tag them
  • continued linux-support

Corel should add the functionality of these plugins into AS, not the plugins itself. Sure not possible for all but for some of them, even Grad and zPerspector it shouldn't be a problem.

I'd like to see the flexibility in the Catalogs like Bibble used to have. I store my images in folders but want my catalog to be arranged differently.

And I'd like to see a more flexible Metadata Browser. I want to be able to select images from certain months across all years at the same time.

I'd like the possibility to make a custom tab with sliders at the right side

Here's a feature request for ASP 2.0 from a new ASP user:

* please add keybard shortcut to toggle the applied "Filters" off & saving the current filter state (e.g. Flag=Accepted, Rate=3stars) - so that it can also be restored with the same toggle.

A "single click" way to do the same toggle with the mouse would also be welcome. Currently a click on the "filter" icon opens up the small "filter window" where each filter option has to be unchecked for the filter to go away. This adds a lot of unnecessary clicks to some (&mine) workflows.

Overall I am amazed by how well and how fast ASP 1.2 runs; I am using it on Linux / ubuntu 13.10 (and soon fedora 20); Nikon d7100. I restarted shooting in RAW format thanks to ASP.
