Pinnacle Studio 16 / Video faster than audio = out of sync

So far this has only happened on two of about 2 dozen videos I've edited and I can't figure out the problem. After several seconds, the video starts to speed up but the audio stays on time. So the audio/video are out of sync and at the end of the clip the video is "still" on the last frame while the audio continues to play to the end. I've tried wiping the files from the hard-drive & then re-loading them from the source camera and i can't seem to correct the problem. When I play the ORIGINAL video in the Windows Video player it is perfectly in sync, but when I import that same video into Pinnacle, it is not. This is driving me crazy! I'm very much a novice at this...just downloaded the trial version a week ago while I decide whether or not to make the purchase.

So essentially there is no answer? I clicked on the link and the reply to the person's question was "our web board does not cover Pinnacle products"
If I'm interpreting that correctly, Even though this is a user-to-user board, users cannot ask questions about pinnacle products? Is there a board where pinnacle users can discuss the products? My google search for one resulted in this message board.
