Downloaded trial version, seems to have issues with the editor. Clip playback ok but when I try to do a project playback, it hangs after a few seconds of play back and then only creeps forward a second or two every time I attempt to hit play to have it continue through to the end. I use other video editing programs, never encountered this kind of issue. Anyone know what the problem is with this program? Cool effects but if the editor doesn't function right, what's the point. Really Disappointing. Solve the problem and I'll buy it.
I am running a new ASUS, windows home premium 64bit and have 6GB ram.

Re: VideoStudio pro X6 hangs on preview
Hi Rich
welcome to the forums
What type of video files are you using, some are quite difficult to edit, video from a Canon SLR comes to mind.
HD video can be some what troublesome, again depending on the type.
If using Mov and Mpeg4 types you should install QuickTime player.
For HD types--- Video Studio uses a process called Smart Proxy this creates duplicate proxy files, make sure Smart Proxy is activated, View the Settings tab.
Proxy files are automatically created after adding a clip to the timeline, otherwise right click the clip and select create Smart proxy, takes some time to create. View Settings Smart Proxy Queue and File managers
Tell us the properties of your video, Right click a clip in the timeline and select properties, what are they?
