Hello,
I work with X3 at home and I wonder how I can do this.
I have a image and What I try to achieve is that it fades out to white from the left to the rigth side.
So on the left side the image is fully seen and on the right seen it turns into white.
Can someone tell me how I can achieve this ?

You can do that using a mask.
- on the Layer Palette, add a new mask layer > show all
- flood fill the mask layer with a gradient going from white to black (being white on the left and black on the right)
And if you want to see white where the photo fades, just add a white layer below.

Re: fade out a image from right to left
There's a tutorial for this at http://www.flickr.com/groups/tutorial_c ... 610522598/
You'd just turn the gradient sideways on the Materials Palette in step 6.

Re: fade out a image from right to left
Hi, I took the following steps in PSP x6:
1) Selected image
2) Created a new mask layer , show all
3) Selected the black/white gradient
4) Made my selection using hte selection tool
5) Selected flood fill
6) Tried to flood fill the selected area
But the gradient did not work....and I don't know why esp as when the steps are repeated with hide all (instead of show) it works....please help!
