RAW Noise Reduction works here on Linux. I need to go on 200% on a D80 ISO 1600 Pic.
I think this is the problem, you also need to zoom to over 100% to actually see any change in the noise level of the image.

I think we're all in agreement that the underlying code is doing something, it "works", however given that it doesn't do anything of value at normal viewing sizes it's hard to really say that it works in the usual sense.

I did see the comments in another thread about a replacement for Noise Ninja being in the pipeline, until that's released, any new users of this application will need to live without noise reduction (or use the Wavelet plugin, which I tried but wasn't impressed with) which I'm sure isn't going to be acceptable for most. An external noise reduction tool is an option, but why suffer the pain of a non-integrated workflow. I can see now why Corel is giving away the application for 80% less if bought with another application, it's missing a key functional component!

FWIW I gave up on ASP noise reduction sometime ago. I do what I have to do in ASP. Export to PSPx5 and use Topaz DeNoise. IMHO Topaz is ahead of the noise game at the moment. Now if Corel was to do a deal with Topaz!!!!!!

I agree. Topaz has great plugins, DeNoise being one of them.
