Difference between title and subtitle?

I know how the two are used in practice but why is there such a distinction in VideoStudio?

Basic titles are just typed in and used to open videos or sequences - subtitles can be added from narration so that you can match audio and text on screen for people who may have impaired hearing - or even speak a different language.

There are many tutorials which explain how to use sub-titles and I am sure they will help you to understand all the differences.
