Version 1.2.0.7 is out

Post by afx »

The update servers have 1.2.0.7 available:

http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index. ... id=4300004

Looks like NN works again (at least for NN license holders).

cheers

Fantastic, finally they support my Olympus Pen 2. I am very happy to see THAT they update! Some nice new presets, Noise Ninja works also for not license holder like me...wow, great.

Hi,

had to deinstall the old Version here on Xubuntu 12.04.

Did someone notice any other changes than new Cams?

Regards

Downloading to test on Mac, then Linux and Windows.
Still learning after all these years!

Nice to see an ASP update, but still no support for Fuji EXR sensors/RAF raw files? Guess I am going to have to continue using Adobe LR4 for the time being and keep ASP on the back burner.

I would not hold my breath for Fuji support. The sensor is too different from normal Bayer that even the Darktable developers aren't supporting it.

Thank you! Downloaded it, installed it - works fine! Finally RAW support for the Nikon D600. Thank you again!
Only thing that is annoying is the version number of the RPM: 0.0-0.0 So I have to uninstall the previous version before installing the newer one. But hey - what the heck. I can live with that.

Mm.

Looks like a very silly glitch in the build process, yuck.
The DEB works just fine....

They have added Noise Ninja by default. That's nice!

(But we still need this: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=46646 LOL)

Yep, most likely ASP will not support Fuji EXR sensors (although about a year ago they said they would). The difference between Darktable and ASP is that Darktable is opensource and ASP is a commercial product that Corel charges for. This doesn't mean that the challenges for supporting the EXR sensor are any different for the Corel ASP team, however, Adobe ACR and LR 4/5 along with others do indeed support the EXR sensor and RAF file format. This is one reason why I will need to stick with the competition for the time being and not use ASP as my go-to RAW file editor.

Strange, I'm downloading 1.2.0.7 (as claimed by the download site), but I'm only getting the RPM for 1.1.x.
Anyone got the right RPM for me?

Regards,

Joachim

Hmm ... worked for me. I've been using this link:
http://www.corel.com/akdlm/6763/downloa ... o_i386.rpm
Size of the file: 73950745 Byte
The version numbering inside the RPM is utter nonsense, but after installing it, the splash screen says 1.2.0.7.

Mm.
