Version 1.2.07 broken for Canon 550D

Post by rhadamanthys »

Hello,

I just downloaded Version 1.2.07, now I can handle my Canon 6D files :D , but my Canon 550D files which where working before the upgrade are just a pattern from white an violet. You can see the preview for a short time, and the the preview and the picture in the main view change to unusable.

Was that messup freshly rendered or from the cache?
I fear it was freshly rendered from your description ;-(
But just in case it wasn't, nuke the cache and then check again.
(to quote Bernd: The 11th Commandment: Thou shall delete the cache before running new versions)

Even if I mount the SD-card direct I get the same effect.

Hi,

- did you nuke the cache (under Linux in your Home Folder .AfterShotPro/cache)?
- in the Cam and other programs the Pic look ok?

Regards

I had a problem somewhat like this, and it turned out to be a plugin. Try disabling all plugins and see what happens.

weird stuff.
removing all plugins, adding back, several times, cured the 5D2 files (for now).
but the 1Dx is still and permanently broken.

both screenshots are from Aftershot. openCL doesnt work on my machines, so it was off anyway.

Nuking the cache helped. The strange thing was, even reading direct from SD card didn't work, there was no cache for this images.

In a directory with Canon 6D and Canon 550D files, I can nuke the cache every day because at some point the effect pops up.
